I didn't catch a photo this time like I did before, but Bella was at work again, paws over her human pup's legs, watching and waiting. Our older son is ill now. Like his brother the week prior, he will also miss most of the school week. They are very different creatures, my children. The … Continue reading I’m getting sick of us getting sick.
Bella isn't overtly affectionate. She doesn't lick much or run to the door to greet us. At times, she seems aloof and distant, but I can always count on her to be near when one of her human pups is sick. She seems to understand that she has something they need and only she can … Continue reading His Little Pony
A decade ago, I would have laughed at the thought of needing to buy pajamas for a dog. Greyhounds actually need them because of their reduced body fat. Bella helped me puppy sit, and she loved it. There were many zoomies and much digging. Normally, Bella isn't very snuggly, but I guess my leg was the right pillow for her much needed respite. Her paw shows evidence of said digging. Happy pups.
It's rare when I can catch a moment like this. The contrast between her ear tattoo and my son's toe- her life before and her life now. Needless to say, Bella is very content here, between her boys.
She doesn't even care that a book could fall on her head at any moment. Happy dog.
Bella is especially fond of chilly mornings, because one of the boys typically brings a blanket out to snuggle on the couch. Just to the right and out of view, my oldest was using her as a pillow. He is supposed to put his blanket back before he leaves for school, but I looked the … Continue reading She loves cold mornings.
My husband left his knitting bag on the couch again, and Bella has taken full liberty to use it as her pillow. As soon as he left for work, she gleefully sniffed it, mouthed the handles a bit, and snuggled right on in. Greyhounds aren't obviously affectionate, but they clearly love their humans.
