Bella is especially fond of chilly mornings, because one of the boys typically brings a blanket out to snuggle on the couch. Just to the right and out of view, my oldest was using her as a pillow. He is supposed to put his blanket back before he leaves for school, but I looked the … Continue reading She loves cold mornings.

Life with a retired racing greyhound.
Greyhounds sleep with their eyes open.
My husband left his knitting bag on the couch again, and Bella has taken full liberty to use it as her pillow. As soon as he left for work, she gleefully sniffed it, mouthed the handles a bit, and snuggled right on in. Greyhounds aren't obviously affectionate, but they clearly love their humans.
Greyhounds will make anything into a pillow.
My husband knits and his current project is usually never very far from him, stored in the black bag above. As soon as he leaves the couch, Bella will make herself cozy. Even putting on a belt can be hazardous, because she sees the belt, thinks it’s a leash, and hurls herself at you, gleefully ready for said … Continue reading This entire post is about poo and pee.
Nose boop!
She really does have a lovely snout. Apparently, I left our bedroom door open. I can't really blame her for taking advantage of that opportunity.
Books and snuggles.
I was thrilled when our oldest was invited to be part of the school reading bowl team. Bella is delighted as well. More books means more couch time and more pets from one of her favorite people.
