I’ve always loved the moon, and I’m not sure of any particular reason why. It represents many things. Sleep, space, exploration, possibility, competition, sharing, adventure, a wave rushing past my toes and sinking me further into the sand. The moon is the place where footprints don’t disappear. It is the calm beacon in the sky, a natural lighthouse, reminding us that we are not alone. It’s the one nightlight we all share, though it sings its silent lullaby to us at different times, it is simply magnificent. It’s no wonder that people have watched it for centuries.
