I really do wish I knew what she was thinking.
Contentment.
Small bed.
Clearly, she fits, or she has decided she does. Further proof that greyhounds are cats in dog bodies.
I win.
Bella does not feel that I have failed to put clothes away, but instead succeeded in providing her the most perfect couch bed imaginable.
A dog and two kids, actually still at the same time.
It's rare when I can catch a moment like this. The contrast between her ear tattoo and my son's toe- her life before and her life now. Needless to say, Bella is very content here, between her boys.
Clean clothes = dog pillow.
She doesn't even care that a book could fall on her head at any moment. Happy dog.
Greyhounds sleep with their eyes open.
My husband left his knitting bag on the couch again, and Bella has taken full liberty to use it as her pillow. As soon as he left for work, she gleefully sniffed it, mouthed the handles a bit, and snuggled right on in. Greyhounds aren't obviously affectionate, but they clearly love their humans.
When they’re gone.
Most of the time, Bella seems to appreciate the quiet when the kids are at school. There are rare moments when she wishes they weren't gone and she'll gather a stuffed animal or two from their beds.
