My favorite fruit.

This Asian pear has seen better days. Honestly, I forgot it on the counter. It has been jostled a bit and didn’t have the benefit of the safety of the produce drawer.
I learned how to prepare them watching the mother of the students I tutored.
They have a granular texture that is wonderful when cool from the fridge.
Very juicy, but not overly so.

Carrots can be replaced with baby carrots. Potatoes can be cooked with their skin. Others, I sometimes avoid entirely because of the extra effort. Asian pears are the only produce I’m not bothered I have to peel.
